About

Laura’s curiosity for movement started early on in life as she would mimic her father’s practice from Light On Yoga by BKS Iyengar and thru ballet/dance class. Her first formal introduction to yoga was through the Sivananda yoga community in Summit County in 1998. She has studied with the Iyengar community, Anusara, ParaYoga, Rajanaka Yoga, Blue Throat Yoga. The teacher that made the biggest impact on her practice and teaching was training with Donna Farhi. Through assisting and training with Donna Farhi she learned to befriend herself in a deeper way, to bring a sense of humor to the mat, and to stay curious with movement

She has been a licensed esthetician and massage therapist since 1997. In 2019 she became a certified personal trainer through NASM and in 2020 she became a nationally board certified health and wellness coach by the Mayo Clinic.

She moved to Grand Junction in 2016 from the mountains with her husband Bryan and boxers. You can find her on the river, on the trails, in the garden, or in front of a canvas.

In class you can expect movements that are inspired by the movement of your breath, mixed with alignment principles to find your optimal selves.
